Chabot Statement on House Vote Calling for Syrian War Crimes Tribunal

Congressman Steve Chabot (R-Westwood) on Monday issued the following statement after the House approved H.Con. Res. 121, Calling for a Syrian War Crimes Tribunal.

"Without question, the Syrian government has continued to commit atrocities against its own people and, sadly, little has been done to address this crisis. Nearly one million Syrian civilians have been deprived of humanitarian aid, which amounts to systematic starvation. Actions like this leave little doubt that the Syrian government and its allies are not only perpetrating war crimes, but committing crimes against humanity. If we're going to defeat this evil, we have to recognize it for what it is."
