Chabot Praises House Action on North KoreaFor Immediate ReleaseWashington, D.C. – Congressman Steve Chabot (R-OH) issued the following statement Monday evening following passage by the House of Representatives of H.Res. 92, Condemning North Korea's development of multiple intercontinental ballistic missiles, and for other purposes, and H.R. 479, the North Korea State Sponsor of Terrorism Designation Act of 2017: “Today, the House sent a clear message to North Korea that we will not tolerate its continued weapons development. Without question, North Korea’s relentless efforts to develop ballistic missiles poses a serious threat to the security of the United States and our allies in the region. Pyongyang’s recent tests demonstrate that it is absolutely committed to creating a ballistic missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to the continental United States. It is imperative that the United States take strong action. These bills are an important step in our response.”Chabot is a cosponsor of H.Res. 92.
